Sunday School

Over the past few weeks we have been studying the theological, doctrinal, and biblical aspects of Covenant Theology. This coming Sunday, we are going to be looking at the practical aspect of Covenant Theology. Where does the rubber meet the road? How do we actually use this information in our daily lives as God’s covenant people? In many ways, this will be the most important lesson on Covenant Theology, so don’t miss it!

Sun Tzu in the Art of War famously said, "If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles." The same principle could be applied to the Christian life. Paul understood that we are in the middle of spiritual warfare. That means sometimes we have to get to know our enemy in order to win the war.

In Proverbs 7, Solomon spends most of the chapter describing how the forbidden woman tempts the simple (vv. 6-23). Read Proverbs 7 and think about the strategic temptation of the forbidden woman. Then answer the following questions: 1) Who is the primary object of the temptation? (vv. 6-9) 2) What is the process of the temptation? (vv. 10-20). 3) What is the payoff of the temptation? (vv. 21-23) 4) How can we prevent the temptation of sin? (vv. 1-5 & 24-27)
