Vision

A family of Reformed believers seeking to declare the grace of the Gospel by loving Jesus and loving others well.

With the help of the Holy Spirit we seek to convey the grace of the gospel in a way that is warm and welcoming by sharing God’s love, giving our love, meeting the needs of those around us, and praying for the Holy Spirit to change lives by his ministry through us.

Our ultimate goal is the glory of God. While we seek the good of our congregation, our denomination, our city, and our country, this is not our final aim. Rather, we do these things as we seek to be faithful and obedient in pursuing our highest aim: the glory of God.

Values

Every individual or church is guided by a set of values. The values that guide us as a church are based on Ephesians 4:15, "Speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ."

Gospel - "Speaking the truth." We seek to teach and live out the Gospel in a way that presents the truth in love. As Christians, we must hold unwaveringly to the principles set forth in Scripture as we love our neighbors and serve our community, setting aside our own ambitions for the cause of Christ's glory.

Neighbor - "...in love." When God places people and churches to a certain place, he calls them to preach the Gospel and serve selflessly in that place. Speaking the truth in love begins with those closest to us. Luke 10 tells us that everyone whom God brings across our path is our neighbor. So it is that we seek to have a Gospel presence in our community through local outreach and in the world through the support of missionaries.

Family - "We." As brothers and sisters in Christ, a family of believers, we show others the love that we have for one another. Through this, we seek to show the truth of the Gospel by exemplifying the love of the Gospel through Jesus Christ. We do this through the two pillars of Christian fellowship as found in Galatians 6:1-3, holding each other accountable and bearing one another's burdens as Christ bore ours.  

Growth - "Grow up in every way." God's people are called to continue to grow in the grace that was first worked in them. Ephesians 4:15 calls believers to grow to be like Christ, who is the head of the Church. This is our desire as we sit under the teaching of God's Word and participate in the means of grace. 

Example - "...into him who is the head, Jesus Christ." The head of the Church is Jesus Christ. As head, he is the chief example to those who would follow him. It is our sincerest desire that as we grow, our growth is modeled after the example of Jesus Christ, our Redeemer and King, who laid down his life for his sheep.
