Sunday School

Last Lord's day we studied what is meant by the Ontological (essence, being) concept of the Trinity as it coexists with the Economic (works, activity) concept of the Trinity. Although there are still many incomprehensible things about our Triune God, it is a great joy to realize that our God has revealed how He works as the Triune God in creation, providence, and redemption. The Father decrees (or plans), the Son accomplishes (or establishes), and the Spirit perfects (or applies) the will of the Triune God.
Since we have studied some difficult to understand things of God so far, this coming Sunday we are going to think about some knowable things of God, that is, the attributes of God. Based on the Westminster Short Catechism Q.4, we are going to think about God's character (i.e. attributes) by focusing on His wisdom and holiness. I encourage you to click the following link (https://www.shortercatechism.com/resources/wsc/wsc_004.html) to read the WSC Q.4 and how the Bible itself describes each attribute!

Sunday Worship

This coming Sunday we will be looking at Proverbs 3:1-12. In verses 5 and 6 we find two familiar verses, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” Many have used these as “life verses” or even had them made into a plaque. But do you really know what it means to trust Yahweh with all your heart? How can we acknowledge him in everything we do? What is the path that is being made straight? Spend some time this week reading through Proverbs 3 as we prepare for Sunday worship!
